The Saturn Vue is a mild hybrid: the power of its electric motor is only 3 KW, and the battery pack is small and only 42 V. As such, it is not a likely candidate for PHEV conversion. For an effective PHEV conversion, a higher power electrical motor must be added.
In Jan 2008, GM announced that it plans to deliver a PHEV version of the Vue "soon".
