−	I hope I am allowed to chime in here, but have you considered a kit like the Enginer? EAA members can get a kit for less than $3000 and it will replace the heavy lead acid batteries with lighter lithium batteries. The entire system will fit in the area between the floor and spare tire. I have been testing such a kit and found it will improve mileage on a Prius over 25%. If one is VERY careful you can run as an EV but it does require a lot of self control and a very light foot.
