I am from Long Island NY, 68 yrs old, and a retired EE. I ran a company designing military hand held and vehicle computers used in tactical systems. While I am obsolete in terms of circuit design I have a pretty good understanding of Nickel Metal Hydride and Lithium Ion batteries used to power the aforementioned. I saw a reference to 15c or 17c for nickel metal. All of my testing (going back to 2002) on 4/5th cell showed 4c for nickel and 2c for lit at 0 degrees? I just bought a 2001 salvaged prius that I want to dismantle and put in a kit car. I would like to modify the prius to run at the higher speed and also be able to plug in a charger with some add on battery pack.
