The main page states that reprogramming "is the tricky part" but after 5 minutes of browsing I can find no further info on that issue. What good is a tricky conversion if the car never thinks to really use what you're giving it? Hybrids are not Electric Vehicles, yet.  Rather they are gas cars that can do some electric car tricks, but not the most important trick which is the ability to not use gassoline as fuel...

:Thank you for the suggestion, and for all of your recent contributions to the site.  Please request an account if you are planning to contribute to the site in a substantial manner.  You do have a good point regarding the need for better use of categories.  Unfortunately we currently have some duplicate categorization happening. ie: :Category:PHEV, :Category:Prius, and Category:Prius PHEV should simply be PHEV and Prius with the addition as you suggest of Category:Conversion, Category:Open Source, and Category:Installer.  Another good category might be Category:OEM PHEV or :Category:Production, though few such vehicles are available. I think it's important to keep the category titles relatively short and direct, similar to keywords... Let me see if I can't clean up some of the category mess we have going on.  Again, thank you for your enthusiasm. --Rjf 04:55, 5 October 2007 (CDT)

::I have cleaned up the categories, I've added to the main page some lists of articles based on combined categories.  I've added a Production category, and since the majority of the site is about conversions there's no need for that category.  I'm still considering adding an Installer category as most of the converters are also installers.  I like the idea of the Open Source category, but may wait to add that one later. --Rjf 04:44, 9 October 2007 (CDT)
