Videos
- 2008.04.22 - Plug-in Hybrids Power the Electrical Grid - PeakMoment - Professor Andy Frank's vision is for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) to be charged on green renewable power from solar panels built into the roofs of our parking lots. This would allow the vehicles to be used as mobile batteries, contributing solar power to the electrical grid, and helping to "load balance" the demand. At home, the same vehicle batteries can help power a house (vehicle-to-house V2H), or feed energy back to the grid (vehicle-to-grid V2G).
