Mission * Why Vehicles Need to use Electricity > Peak oil > Climate change > Renewable energy > Smart grid > Vehicle-to-grid > Vehicle-to-home

The EAA-PHEV mission is to Educate, Demonstrate, and Proliferate Electric and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles.

It is the sincere hope of the members and officers of the EAA-PHEV to help and aid in the EDUCATION of the general public as to Why Vehicles Need to use Electricity. We describe the desirability and availability of electric transportation in all its forms, from commercially available cars and trucks, to conversions, to electric boats, bicycles, and motor bikes. Through our free association we would help every one and any one in their own quest for knowledge and experience in this area.

It is our deep conviction that this can be done through DEMONSTRATION of these vehicles in static shows and exhibits, rallies, and in all forms of on-road competition and racing.

That through these efforts PROLIFERATION of these vehicles will come about, thereby lowering our dependence on foreign oil, increasing national security, and reducing the degradation of our environment through SEVA:pollution.

"The only infrastructure upgrades needed is an electric drop cord." --James Woolsey @ PlugInPartners

It's far simpler to clean up a single electric power plant than a million dirty gas cars.
So, Electric and Plug-in Hybrids are cars that get cleaner as they get older! --?

"You don't have to plug it in" really means "You can't plug it in"
What we should be saying is "You can plug it in, but you don't have to"
It's not that plugging in is inconvenient, it's more that with regards to
EV's it may be inconvenient to have to plug in for your only fuel source.

Hybrids are not Electric Vehicles, rather they are gas cars that can do some EV tricks,
but not the most important trick which is the ability to not use gasoline for fuel.
